Fatalities reported in multiple crashes on Interstate 90 in Lake County, Ohio

I-90 east and west from Route 528 to Route 44 will remain closed for the next two hours, the sheriff's office said. ODOT recommends using SR 2 instead. More than 15 semi-trucks and several cars were involved in a series of crashes along the highway. Dunlap said at least one person was ejected and trapped underneath a vehicle. Other injuries were reported.

There is now also a major accident on Interstate 90 eastbound at Vrooman Road. Eastbound and westbound lanes are closed at State Route 615 to allow emergency vehicles through to the scene.
