A man and woman were killed overnight in a Perry Township motorcycle crash. The double fatal accident happened around 12:29 a.m. on Sherman Church Avenue near Whipple Avenue. Jeffrey M. Martin, 35, of Canton, Ohio lost control of his 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail, according to the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said Martin and his rear passenger, Julie C. Zona, 37, were then ejected from the bike. The two died at the scene. Troopers said Martin and Zona were not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
