One man seriously injured in Lorain County head-on collision

HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A driver remains in serious condition after a head-on collision in Lorain County Friday afternoon. She failed to yield to a Chevrolet Impala driven by a 54-year-old Kipton man and the two cars collided head-on, troopers said. The Kipton man was flown to MetroHealth in Cleveland where he remains Saturday morning. The Lagrange woman was treated at Mercy Hospital in Oberlin. A 47-year-old Lagrange woman behind the wheel of a Buick Lacrosse tried to merge left onto Vermilion Road from Ohio 511, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
