One killed in wrong-way crash on Rt. 315

Two people were sent to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, one was taken to Mount Carmel West hospital and one was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately available.

S.R. 315 southbound was closed while police investigated, and crews worked to clean up the crash, but it has since reopened.

CPD: Wrong-Way Driver Killed In S.R. 315 Crash

According to the Columbus Police Department, at about 3:16 a.m. Sunday, 29-year-old Steven Gibbs, was driving a 2014 Volkswagen northbound in the southbound lanes near King Avenue on S.R. 315 and struck head-on a 2014 Buick being driven by 30-year-old Brandon Williams. 

A car was reportedly heading northbound in the southbound lanes of Rt. 315 when it struck another vehicle. One person died at the scene, and four were taken to local medical centers. More information will be posted as it is released.
