Person Killed In Crash With Truck Carrying Liquid Nitrogen

Police say a car and a hazmat truck collided around 1 a.m., the driver of the car did not survive. Police say a liquid started to leak from the truck after the crash. Police would not confirm on the scene what caused the crash or release the identification of the driver. Columbus police and fire are investigating a deadly crash that happened overnight at 5th Avenue and Leonard Avenue. Traffic investigators could not process the scene until the spill was contained.

Police ID man killed in Near East Side crash with liquid-nitrogen tanker

Police received a call about a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car at about 1:39 a.m. near the intersection of East 5th and Leonard avenues. Shawn Good, 30,  was killed in the crash, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:02 a.m.
