The Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that took the life of a Walbridge man near the border between Wood County and Sandusky County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol did not have information on whether the driver of the semi, Michasel Siniard, 45, Kenmore, New York, was hurt.
23-year-old Jacob Byington of Walbridge was killed Wednesday morning when his van ran into the back of a stopped semi truck on U.S. 23 just south of U.S. 6 in Sandusky County. Byington was not wearing a seat belt. Dense fog covered the area at the time of the crash. The semi driver, Michael G. Siniard, 45, was not hurt.
