Elyria man dies after fatal crash in Liverpool Township

An Elyria man died after his car drove off the road and struck two parked semi trucks.
A man from Elyria, Ohio is dead after the car he was driving ran off the roadway and into two stationary semis. He drove his  2003 Honda Accord across a railroad crossing atop a hill on Ohio 303 at approximately 1:15 a.m. Saturday and his car went into the air. His car veered off the left side of the road after it landed, striking a string of mailboxes and careening into a business parking area. The vehicle then crashed into two parked semi trucks head on. Paramedics from the Valley City Fire Department arrived on scene shortly after the accident, however they found the man dead upon arrival. The paramedics determined his identity as Michael Setliff, 28. They determined that he did not have his seatbelt on at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation, but it is thought that excessive speed contributed to the crash. We will bring you updates on this story as they become available.
