Cheerleaders injured in rollover car crash on Interstate 35 in Edmond, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it was a single-vehicle wreck, and the group was traveling home after marching in the Edmond Fourth of July parade. An SUV carrying cheerleaders from Southeast High School rolled over on Interstate 35 Saturday morning. According to OHP Capt. Paul Timmons, five people were in the vehicle and two were ejected and are in critical condition. Two lanes are closed -- I-35 North at the southbound highway offramp and westbound on the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

A roll-over accident at Interstate 35 and Wilshire Boulevard Saturday injured three Southeast High School students going home from the Edmond Fourth of July parade, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. Capt. Paul Timmons said troopers arrived to the scene of a single vehicle accident about 11:15 a.m. Two people were ejected from the vehicle and have been taken to OU Medical center along with another person injured in the wreck. Their names have not been released, and their condition is unknown.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle and were been taken to OU Medical Center along with three others injured in the wreck, the patrol reported. Five people were in the vehicle, three of which were cheerleaders that had participated in the parade.
