Spencer cyclist dies after being struck by truck

MIDWEST CITY — A man pedaling a tricycle home after a New Year's celebration died after he was struck by a wrecker, police said. Clabes said the tricycle had one small LED light, but the truck driver did not see it. Johnston was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he died about 5:30 a.m. He was struck from behind by a westbound wrecker when the driver did not see him along the road, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said. Friday, Johnny Ray Johnston, 48, of Spencer, was traveling west in the 9300 block of NE 23.
