A man was killed in a collision in southwest Oklahoma City in dense fog Tuesday, police said.
A tractor-trailer and a car collided about 7:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of S Portland Ave., police said.
The tractor-trailer driver was northbound on Portland when the driver swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid rear-ending stopped traffic. The tractor-trailer hit a southbound car head-on. The passenger of the car was dead at the scene and a woman driving the car was not hurt, Oklahoma City police said. The tractor-trailer driver was taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries.
