Two men die in Kiowa County boating accident Sunday

SNYDER -- Two men, an Altus man and an El Paso, Texas man, died in a boating accident at Tom Steed Reservoir in Kiowa County Sunday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. The men were found in about 2-3 feet of water about 30 feet from the boat. Family members told troopers the two men did not return from a boating trip. The boat was a 1973 Sears 13-foot metal hull boat, the patrol reports. The boat was found capsized in about 5 feet to 6 feet of water about a quarter of a mile west of the main lake boat ramp.
