Arkansas woman dies Saturday after Wagoner County crash

Duane Carter, of Greenwood, Ark., was driving a Dodge van carrying five passengers south on the Muskogee Turnpike at 8:30 a.m. Friday when he tried to make an improper U-turn at a barricade turnaround, troopers reported.

Bradley Osborne, 18, of Las Vegas was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa with head and truck injuries, while the nine remaining people injured in the accident were treated and released at hospitals in Muskogee and Tulsa.
Duane Carter was driving a Dodge van carrying five passengers when he tried to make an improper U-turn at a barricade turnaround. David Housdan, the driver of a tractor trailer that was following behind Carter, slowed down and was hit by a 16-passenger bus, causing the truck to strike Carter’s van, troopers reported. Nancy Vea was thrown from Greenwood’s van.
