Byrd was reportedly pinned for approximately 35 minutes and freed by use extrication equipment by the Ramona Fire Department, the Ochelata Fire Department and the Oglesby Fire Department at approximately 1:40 p.m. He was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa via Life Flight where he was admitted in poor condition with leg injuries.
Semi Driver Airlifted After Rear-Ending Mack Truck On U.S. 75
According to the investigating trooper, both trucks were northbound, but Byrd struck Redd's truck as he attempted to make a turn on to private property.
