One dead, one critical after motorcycle crash on U.S. 412 near Sand Springs

One person is dead and another is critically injured after a motorcycle crash on U.S. 412 near Sand Springs on Wednesday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. George Hogan, 53, of Sand Springs was riding a 1993 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle west on U.S. 412 near 145th West Avenue, 2 miles west of Sand Springs, just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Debra Jones, 40, also of Sand Springs, was riding as a passenger, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. The motorcycle hydroplaned, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a cable barrier before coming to rest on the westbound shoulder, the report states.
