Tulsa International Airport confirms a person is in custody after crashing a vehicle through four security fences on Wednesday.

“Once he was apprehended, it appeared that he was intoxicated,” Tulsa International Airport spokesperson Alexis Higgins said. "However, operations and law enforcement staff are doing a full investigation. I have not been given the specific reason or motivation that prompted his actions."

One man was taken into custody after driving a vehicle through four different security gates at the Tulsa International Airport. The incident took place around noon near the TIA's control tower off of East Port Road. The man succeeded in making it to the airport's north-south runway before being stopped. No one was hurt, and no major damage was done to the airport other than the fences.
