Oregon State Police on Saturday released the names of the two drivers killed in a crash on U.S. 20 outside of Sisters on Friday afternoon.

Bruce Sirnio, 61, of Salem, was driving an Acura sport utility vehicle westbound near milepost 86 when he crossed into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons, according to police. He crashed nearly head-on into a Toyota pickup truck driven by Andrew Deverna, 42, of Newberg, authorities said.

A female passenger, 41, of King City, who was in the Toyota was taken to Saint Charles Hospital in Bend with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

All three involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts, police said, and both vehicles’ airbags deployed.

A Spruce Pine man was killed early Saturday when his pickup ran off the road and struck a tree.
The wreck occurred at 2:20 a.m. on Franklin 52, which runs between Franklin 22 and Alabama 187, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Michael Anthony Blanton, 35, formerly of Red Bay, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:10 a.m. by Franklin County Coroner Elzie Malone.
Malone said Blanton suffered blunt force trauma injuries and head injuries in the wreck.
Troopers said the wreck is still under investigation.

Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a head-on collision Monday night east of Jasper, according to Alabama State Troopers. Jeremy Phillips, 34, and Jeffrey Stovers, 50, both died, and a passenger in Phillips' truck, 33-year-old Natasha Phillips, of Cordova, was taken to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A Lucasville man was killed last night when his car crashed down an embankment in Scioto County.

Kevin L. Prince, 41, was driving a Ford Focus southbound on Rt. 335 just north of the village of Minford around 8:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Prince was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The crash remained under investigation and additional details were not released early today.

A Gibsonburg, Ohio, man was killed and two people were injured in a two-car crash on Saturday near Bowling Green, the State Highway Patrol said.

David Kaseman, 58, who was driving one of the cars on Rt. 105 east of the I-75 interchange, was pronounced dead at Wood County Hospital, according to the patrol’s Bowling Green post.

The driver of the other vehicle, William Beard Jr., 74, of Pemberville, and his wife, Judy Beard, 73, were taken to Wood County Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

81-year-old Harold Short of Farwell died in a two-vehicle crash in Clare County's Surrey Township. Authorities say Short was a passenger in a vehicle that was hit head-on by another vehicle that crossed the center line.

Brown was driving a 1999 Volvo southbound on West River Road. The car went off the side at a curve in the road and hit a landscaping wall, tree and pole before rolling over. Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A woman was killed Saturday morning following a crash with a commercial vehicle in Osnaburg Township, Stark County.

The wreck happened around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 44 and Orchardview Drive S.E., according to Ohio State Highway Troopers.

Troopers said Michael Sudano Jr., 57, of Niles, Ohio, was driving his commercial truck northbound on S.R. 44 when he turned left into the path of a Kia Rio car, which was traveling southbound on S.R. 44.
