Man killed in head-on crash near Sunriver

SUNRIVER, Ore. – A man was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 97 near Sunriver Friday night. The Freightliner collided head-on with a Ford F350 pickup that was traveling northbound. The driver of the pickup, David F. Taylor, 30, of La Pine, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner, Dennis M. Woods, 30, of Sacramento, Calif., was also taken to St. Two passengers in the pickup, Amanda F. Porter, 23, and a 7-year-old boy, were taken to St.
