Oregon State Police trooper hurt when driver loses control on icy road and rear ends patrol car.

An Oregon State Police trooper was injured Friday night when his patrol car was rear-ended as he was wrapping up a traffic stop on Oregon 34 east of Corvallis.
An Oregon State Police trooper was injured Friday night when his patrol car was rear-ended as he was wrapping up a traffic stop on Oregon 34 east of Corvallis. Just after 8 p.m., Trooper Don Rummer was finishing a traffic stop and got back into his patrol car when he saw a car coming from behind lose control on the snow- and ice-covered roadway. The car crashed into the back of the stopped patrol car. The Linn County Sheriff's Office investigated and cited the driver of the other car, Isaiah A. Russell, 25, of Lebanon, with careless driving and driving while suspended. He was not injured in the crash. Rummer went to Albany General Hospital for a minor injury but was later released and back on duty.
