Police search for driver in deadly hit-and-run on Hwy 34

CORVALIS, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police are hoping the public can help them find the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash on Highway 34 near milepost 1 just east of Corvallis. Evidence at the scene indicated that the vehicle was possibly a white Suzuki. It is also possible the suspect vehicle was another make or model. A 34-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle around 10 a.m.

Detectives from the OSP's Criminal Investigations Division said they were at the home of the suspected driver on Monday, as they continue to work the case.

They have not released any further details about the suspect's identity or the vehicle.

No charges in crash that killed OSU graduate student

A report from the Linn County District Attorney’s Office says there isn’t enough evidence to conclude that the SUV driver behaved recklessly or committed any criminal acts after the crash.
