Victim identified in crash on Highway 138W near Elkton

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was using safety restraints, OSP said. The driver may have suffered a medical emergency while driving, state police said.

A 71-year-old man was killed Friday morning after a crash on Highway 138W near Elkton, Oregon State Police said.

Oregon State Police have identified David Charles Duvick, 71, of Elkon as the driver who was killed in a crash on Highway 138W Friday morning.

Oregon State Police said at about 7:50 a.m. a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling westbound crossed lanes into the eastbound lane and into a ditch where it crashed at the base of a driveway.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was using safety restraints, OSP said.

The driver may have suffered a medical emergency while driving, state police said.

Police are continuing to investigation the crash.
