Hit-and-run driver sought in serious-injury crash near Astoria.

Police are looking for the driver of a Honda Passport who fled after crashing an SUV into another vehicle on U.S. 30 near Astoria, critically injuring the other driver, police said.

Oregon State Police is asking anyone who might be able to identify the driver to contact their Northern Command Center at 800-452-7888.

According to preliminary information from the Oregon State Police, the crash occurred when a gray 1996 Honda Passport crossed the center line of U.S. 30 near milepost 88 and collided head-on with a 2002 Dodge Neon carrying three people.

The 21-year-old driver of the Neon, Abraham P. Korpoh, was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with critical injuries. His two passengers, Olivia Tokstad, 21, of Dundee, and Kamah P. Hartwell, 22, of Portland, were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda fled the scene, police said, and may have injuries. They do not know whether the driver was male or female. The Honda has Oregon plates.

The highway was closed for an hour before being opened to one lane.

Police are asking witnesses who may have not yet spoken with police to contact them. They also urge anyone who may have picked up the driver to contact them.
