Man trapped between semis tells survival story

He's now sharing his unbelievable story of survival with others, vowing to make the most of each moment.
It was a very foggy and somewhat icy morning near Baker City, Oregon when Whitby was driving a pickup truck on I-84 towards Council, ID. A semi-truck in front of him slid on black ice and turned sideways, blocking the entire highway. With no way to avoid it, Whitby smashed into the side of the semi-trailer, and another semi-truck that was behind Whitby's pickup inevitably collided with the wreck, sandwiching Whitby's truck between two semi-trucks in what ended up being a 26-vehicle pileup. Incredibly, Whitby was not injured in the crash, and after cutting himself free from his seatbelt with a pocket knife and climbing out of the wrecked vehicle, he walked away from the accident.
