Beaverton Woman Loses Her Life in a Fatal Crash in Douglas County
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Lexus passenger car operated by Nancy J Meyen (age 86 from Beaverton) drifted off the roadway, struck a tree, and her vehicle started on fire. Meyen was removed from the vehicle by first responders before the vehicle was consumed by the fire. Meyer was pronounced deceased at the scene. A medical condition or the possibility Meyen fell asleep,prior to leaving the roadway, are being considered as contributing factors to the crash .
