Lebanon Police sniff out suspect in hiding after high-speed chase

The driver gave Lebanon Police officers the slip in a high-speed chase before dawn Sunday, doing better than 100 mph in a red Honda Prelude. During the chase the Prelude's hood flew off, the Albany Democrat-Herald reports. Lebanon Police officials said they later saw the car parked on some private property and officers launched a search by foot. That's when officers caught a "strong scent of cologne" in the darkness and soon found their suspect hiding in shrubbery.
Agosto was arrested on charges of probation violation and trying to evade officers. Police said Agosto told them he regretted using the cologne.
