Two people were killed and two others, including an infant, were injured after a vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle Wednesday in Morris, Washington County, authorities said.
Two people were killed and two others, including an infant, were injured after a vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle Wednesday in Morris, Washington County, authorities said. Shari L. Cox, 46 of Prosperity, was driving a jeep traveling north on Route 18 at Conklin Street when she crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a SUV driven by Stephen Michael Breese, 28, of Washington, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police and the Washington County coroner's office said. Ms. Cox died at the scene, and Mr. Breese was taken to Washington Hospital where he died, according to a press release from the coroner's office. Katherine Breese, 30, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of Mr. Breese's vehicle and an 8-month-old girl in a child safety seat in the backseat, were flown to UPMC Presbyterian and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, state police said in a news release. Their conditions were not immediately available. The crash, which happened around 6:40 p.m., is under investigation. State police said Ms. Cox was not wearing a seatbelt and there was no evidence Mr. Breese was wearing his seatbelt.
