Drunk driver crashed during assault, police say

Police said he was assaulting the woman while driving at extreme speeds, and would repeatedly slam the brakes.
William Edward Sandstrom, 39, of Elizabethtown, was arrested Sunday near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania after he lost control of his vehicle and it rolled. The incident occured around 1:00 a.m. on October 19 when Sanstrom, who was driving drunk at a high speed and assaulting his female passenger, crashed at the intersection of Linglestown Road and Crooked Hill Road. Sanstrom was arrested with charges of assault, DUI, reckless driving, and driving at an unsafe speed. He was released on $5,000 unsecure bail.
