4 Members Of Pa. Amish Family Die In Crash

Four members of an Amish family are dead after their hired van was struck by a cement truck as they traveled home from a funeral in central Pennsylvania.
Four people, all believed to be from the same family, died after a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Lower Chanceford Township, York County. Emmanuel Esh, 73, and his brother, 66-year-old Melvin Esh, died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Holtwood Road and Flaherty Road. Elizabeth Esh, 22, of Brogue, died at York Hospital early Tuesday and the baby she was carrying, a boy, was stillborn at the hospital Monday evening. All were passengers in a van that was traveling on Holtwood and turning left onto Flaherty when it collided with a cement truck around 3:15 p.m. A passenger vehicle was also involved in the accident.
