According to witnesses, there were beer cans inside the striking vehicle, whose 28-year-old driver was taken into custody.
Adelso 'Adeiry' Matos was riding a bike on 7th and Cayuga streets on the way home from a park when a driver ran a stop sign and struck him. A bystander performed CPR on Matos but was not able to save him. The driver did not flee the scene and has been cooperating with police. More details will be posted as they are released.
