SEPTA bus driver, 10 passengers hurt in West Philadelphia crash

SEPTA officials say one of its drivers and 10 passengers were hurt when a Route 65 bus hit a traffic signal in West Philadelphia.It happened at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at Haverford and Lansdowne Avenues.Images from Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed the bus on a concrete traffic median and a utility pole that had been sheared off at the base standing upright in the middle of the road, held in place by electrical wires.There was no immediate word what caused the driver to lose control.None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.Stay with Action News and 6abc.com for more information as it becomes available.

6 Hurt When SEPTA Bus Crashes into Street Pole

Half a dozen people were hurt after a SEPTA bus crashed into a street pole in West Philadelphia Tuesday morning, police said. The bus was traveling along Lansdowne Avenue near Haverford around 10:10 a.m. when it jumped a curb and crashed, police said. Five people and the bus driver suffered non life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to officials.
