Eric Perez, 6, Zyana Wilson-Perez, 7 weeks, and Zaire Rossen, 20, killed and several people injured in car collision on Henry Avenue in Wissahickon area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Two of the kids were taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia while the other two were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Police say one of the children, a boy between the ages of 5 and 7, died from his injuries at 4:48 p.m. The other three kids and four of the adults are in critical condition. 

The 6-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m.

The infant girl is in critical condition with injuries that include a severe brain injury and a severe abdominal injury.

Both adults riding in the front of the Mazda 6 were ejected, police say, and at this time investigators do not know who was driving.

Police say three adults -- two women in the front and a man in the back -- and four children -- a 7-week-old in a car seat, a 4-year-old, a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old -- were inside a vehicle traveling northbound on the 4200 block of Henry Avenue just before 4 p.m. when it crossed into the southbound lanes and was struck by a second vehicle occupied by two adults, according to investigators.
