Bigam said one person was trapped in the wreckage. It took emergency personnel an hour to free the passenger because electrical wires on the utility pole were sparking and West Penn Power had to cut the power, he said.

Skylar Williams, 16, of Monessen, a male passenger, was pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.  
At about 12:47pm, Williams was driving on Route 711 when she failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway on the right side, and hit an embankment before rolling over into a utility pole. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, but she had two passengers, a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old, who were both injured in the crash, and one of them was found unconscious and partially ejected from the vehicle. As of now, the 16-year-old is in stable condition, while 12-year-old is in more serious condition.
