Michael McDermott, 55, killed in bicycle collision with vehicle in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania

Authorities identify bicyclist hit, killed in crash

Police have said McDermott likely wasn't drunk nor was the driver. Police say the 23-year-old woman who hit the Forest Hills man around 6:30 p.m. stopped at the scene and cooperated with police. The case will be turned over to the district attorney once those results are known. Tests results are pending on whether the victim and the driver were sober. McDermott was taken to an area hospital where he died about three hours later.
