Steven Lee Winfrey, 51, of Roanoke, Virginia, was killed when his tractor-trailer veered off the roadway Exit 10 for Route 914 in Guilford Township on northbound I-81 in Franklin County just before 5 a.m. The truck crashed into a cement storm drain and burst into flames, according to previous reports from state police. Winfrey was pronounced dead at the scene but his identity remained unreleased until police could notify family members, according to police.
