Richland man suffers severe burns after two-car crash
State police in Stonington said the accident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. when Heilman pulled out from Boyd Station Road in front of a 2015 Chevrolet SUV driven by Penny L. Hertzog, 52, of Danville, which was traveling east on Route 54.
Heilman’s 1995 Dodge Neon was struck broadside by the SUV and sent spinning off the south berm into an embankment. It burst into flame.
