New Year's Eve crash kills man, 35

The coroner said his blood alcohol level was more than four  times the legal limit as measured by the hospital.
An Aiken County man whose under the influence of alcohol died January 1, 2015 from injuries he sustained in a New Year's Eve car crash. Terry Sapp, 35, was pronounced deceased at Georgia Regents Medical Center. Sapp was injured in a two-vehicle crash about 10 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Assembly Street and Hampton Avenue in Aiken. Sapp was the driver of a 1977 Ford F150 truck traveling east on Hampton when he failed to yield the right of way during turn and was hit by a 2001 Volvo driven by Salina Tyler, also of Aiken. Sapp and the occupants of the Volvo were taken to the hospital. Sapp was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
