Victims identified in wreck on I-26

One lane of Interstate 26 was blocked for about two hours. The accident remains under investigation.

Coroner IDs 2 people from fatal wreck Saturday in Dorchester County

Tommy Barrett, 42, of Lexington County, was driving the Mazda four-door involved in the crash and Ramesses Mahdee, 32, of Moncks Corner, drove a Dodge Charger, according to Coroner Chris Nisbet. 
Two people were killed in a car accident on Interstate 26 Saturday night when a 2012 Dodge Challenger, driven by Ramesses Mahdee, rear-ended and a  Mazda sedan, driven by Tommy Barrett. The collision caused both cars to leave the right side of the road and hit trees. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the crash site. The passenger in the Mazda was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in serious condition.
