Coroner identifies James Island woman killed in auto-pedestrian accident

Fire and EMS crews also responded to the scene to assist. No charges have been filed, and police are continuing the investigation.
Alexis Richardson, 32, of James Island died at MUSC from blunt force trauma after she was struck by a truck on Thursday at 1:11 a.m., on Folly Road at Battery Island Drive. The driver of the truck stated he did not see where the pedestrian came from, and was not sure what he had hit.
