The Dorchester County Coroner's Office has identified a 35-year-old man who died in a motorcycle accident in Ridgeville Sunday afternoon.

A report states Howard noticed on-coming traffic and attempted to merge back into his lane but struck the trailer.

Christopher Howard, of Cross, died from blunt force trauma to the chest. Howard was driving north on Ridgeville Road on a Yamaha motorcycle when he tried to pass a pick-up truck hauling a car trailer. A vehicle heading south on Ridgeville Road forced Howard to cut back into his lane, where he collided with the car trailer.
