Troopers investigate deadly Sumter Co. motorcycle crash

Troopers say the crash occurred just after 1 p.m. Sunday on Burden Road, or Highway 76. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike.

Man killed in motorcycle crash identified

Sullivan’s 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east on Burden Road, also known as U.S.76, when it ran off the side of the road about 1:10 p.m., said Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that a man on a motorcycle was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon after his bike left the roadway. Authorities say the driver was not wearing a helmet.
