Car crash kills USC student

Her car went through the Old Hopkins Road and Thrush Street intersection and struck the driver's side of a 2007 Dodge pick-up truck.
Kerrian Abbigale Morris, 19, a University of South Carolina student, died and two people were injured in a collision Saturday in Hopkins. Morris was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Morris was driving a 2012 Hyundai that went through the intersection and was hit on the driver's side by a 2007 Dodge truck. The passenger in the Hyundai was taken to Palmetto Richland hospital with serious injuries. A 54-year-old woman who was driving the truck was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this point it is unclear what caused the collision to occur.
