Several injured after plane is torn apart in SC crash, police say

The plane was torn apart after crashing[1] through a fence at the end of a runway at Greenville Downtown Airport and spilling on to a nearby road, according to the Greenville Police Department.

The plane went off a runway, through the fence and down about a 200-foot safety area that includes a fairly steep embankment. It then crashed onto Airport Road and broke apart.   

NTSB releases final report on 2018 plane crash at Greenville Downtown Airport

The NTSB report shows that the work order was about 60% complete at the time of the crash. It also says there was no log entry that indicated that the aircraft was airworthy.
