Driver charged after passenger died in crash, troopers say
The driver of the Mitsubishi - Dustin McConnell, 27, of Pickens - was traveling north on Meece Mill Road. Troopers said McConnell ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The passenger in the vehicle was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where that person later died.
