Woman charged with DUI in deadly Upstate crash

Hagedorn was not injured in the crash, nor was the driver of the tractor trailer, troopers say. A front-seat passenger in the 2004 Volkswagen Golf that Hagedorn was driving died as a result of the impact, troopers say. An Illinois woman has been charged with driving under the influence after troopers with the S.C. Highway Patrol say a passenger in her car died when she rear-ended a tractor trailer. Troopers say the driver of a tractor trailer was traveling east when he slowed to exit at 18 B and Courtney Marie Hagedorn, 23, of Harrisburg, struck the tractor trailer. Hagedorn has been charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death.

A passenger, Samantha Giana Striano, 27, was in the 2004 Volkswagen Golf that Hagedorn was driving. She died on the scene.  Hagedorn was not injured in the crash, nor was the driver of the tractor trailer, troopers say.
