Coroner IDs two women killed in Laurens crash

Two women were killed and another seriously injured early Thursday in a single-car collision in Laurens County, troopers said.

The crash closed State Route 127 at South Harper Road Extension and forced drivers to take a detour, according to troopers. 

Two Killed In Early Morning Wreck

One of the two passengers was 20-year-old Kachina McCall of Waterloo. Lance Corporal Keller said Ms. McCall was not wearing her seat belt and was not trapped in the car.

Coroner: 2 women killed in fatal Laurens Co. wreck

A front seat passenger, a 20-year-old female, was not seat belted and was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital. The condition of the passenger has not yet been released.

Two people were killed and another was seriously injured after the Volkswagen they were traveling in left the roadway and struck a tree. Two were declared dead at the scene: Kayla Stephenson, 19, and Chelsea Calvert, 22. Passenger Kachina McCall was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.
