Leanna Carolina Turner, Samad Fard Muhammad Turner killed in head-on crash with pickup on Fairview Road in Simpsonville, South Carolina

A husband and wife are dead after a three-vehicle accident near Simpsonville Monday night, according to the Highway Patrol and Greenville County Coroner’s Office. Leanna Carolina Turner, 23, and her husband Samad Fard Muhammad Turner, 30, were killed after their vehicle collided with a pick-up truck head-on on Fairview Road around 10:40 p.m. Samad Turner was the driver, and Leanna Turner was the passenger in the 2008 Nissan. Both were wearing seatbelts, according to the Greenville County Coroner. Leanna Turner was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital where she died shortly after midnight. Samad Turner was pronounced dead at the scene. Both deaths were attributed to head trauma. One of the vehicles then struck another pickup truck, said a Trooper of the Highway Patrol. The drivers of both pickup trucks were taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, he said. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
