A 70-year-old Simpsonville woman was killed Saturday in a head-on collision on East Georgia Road, said Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans.

According to state troopers, the wreck happened around 11:25 a.m. Saturday- on E. Georgia Road just outside Simpsonville city limits.
Investigators said Joyce Mahaffey's, 70, vehicle crossed the center line, causing it to hit another vehicle head-on.
State troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt and died at the hospital a short time after the crash.
The driver was the only person in the second vehicle and was not injured.
