He said the driver of the car they struck, a 32-year-old Greenville man, wasn’t injured.
Shizaire Mitchell, 19, of Greenville, died Wednesday morning following a two-car collision that sent the Honda Civic he and four others rode in into a gas station. The other occupants, aged 15, 18, and 19, were injured and taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital. The accident occured Tuesday, October 21 around 8:30 p.m. when the Civic went off the road and into the parking lot of a Spinx gas station at U.S. 25 and Welcome Avenue. The Civic collided with a vehicle, then hit a bank of gas pumps. Mitchell, who was stuck inside the vehicle, died at the scene. Police are not sure who was driving the Civic. The occupant of the other vehicle, a 32-year-old male from Greenville, was not injured.
