Tracy Elbertson, 48, dies of injuries after her car leaves roadway and she was ejected on Beaverdam Road in Williamston, South Carolina

A Williamston woman died in surgery after being involved in a single-vehicle accident early Friday on Beaverdam Road, authorities said. Tracy Elbertson, 48, of 1602 Anderson Drive, died at 7:29 a.m. of multiple system failure, said the Anderson County Coroner. She was the driver of a 2004 Tahoe that went off the right side of Beaverdam Road about a mile north of Williamston at about 2:30 a.m., said the Highway Patrol. The Tahoe overturned and Elbertson was ejected, Rhyne said. She was not wearing a seat belt, he said.
