Driver flees scene after hitting and killing walking man

MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WBTW) A North Carolina man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Hwy 15 around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown. Brown says, Stephen Locklear of Laurinburg North Carolina was walking on Highway 15 Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. According to Brown, Locklear was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
