Dillon crash leaves one dead, four injured Saturday, SCHP reports

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident Saturday in Dillon that took place on I95 Northbound after the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. According to SCHP, the accident happened at 3:59 p.m. Saturday, the 2002 Ford Excursion was traveling North on I95, lost control of the vehicle, struck a tree, then went off the roadway. Four other passengers were in the vehicle at the time and sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital, according to SCHP.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the 2002 Ford Excursion was traveling northbound on the road near mile marker 187 when the driver lost control of the vehicle,went off the right side of the road and ran into a tree.
